This is us. Well, the us before my us. This was before a lot of things. This is precisely 2 months before I gave birth the greatest change in life, becoming a mother to a daughter. But between me, Mom and Dad, nothing's changed. They still remain the parents who love fiercely. Who won't back down. Who show up when you need them most. Who will come to you when you simply can't come to them.
How is your week going?
I don’t know about you, but does it seem like it’s Christmas in a couple weeks? Maybe it’s the weather change overnight or the fact that I’ve been excited about seeing the leaves fall and all of a sudden Christmas trees are up in every store across town. So I’m trying to get in the spirit and by trying I mean I’m browsing Christmas shopping by the minute and despite my negative (time is moving too fast lament), I’m actually getting a jumpstart on shopping today. Because sales.
Imagine one night a year.
Imagine it’s Christmas.
Imagine you put your babies to bed and you get in an uber.
Imagine you’re in your pajamas.
Then imagine you arrive to a winter wonderland in the form of 40 women you know and admire.
Then imagine there’s wine, champagne, pizza, white chocolate popcorn, cake pops, Nars cosmetics, a fire, toilets with no baby seats on them, girl talks seeping into your veins and a whole lot of love.
