Imagine one night a year.
Imagine it’s Christmas.
Imagine you put your babies to bed and you get in an uber.
Imagine you’re in your pajamas.
Then imagine you arrive to a winter wonderland in the form of 40 women you know and admire.
Then imagine there’s wine, champagne, pizza, white chocolate popcorn, cake pops, Nars cosmetics, a fire, toilets with no baby seats on them, girl talks seeping into your veins and a whole lot of love.
I look rested here don't I? Also, legit happy. Like I'm freshly dressed and bathed, don't have oatmeal in my hair and not even hungover because I got to sleep in till 9:40 a.m. Yep, 9:40 a.m. I haven't done that since 2011.
Our thanksgiving plans just came to a halt. Like bam. Our daughter said she didn't feel good earlier but I passed it off as tired. We had a crazy four days with her California cousins and she was spent. And just as I was about to start packing the family to leave tomorrow, she said she was going to be sick. Voila, throw up she did and she's currently lying next to me while I monitor her for more sickness. Thanks germs! Just in the nick of time.
