All in MINI STYLE
I know. It looks kinda cute. Kinda frightening. Kinda woah. And yes I know, kinda isn’t really a word. But this is parenting. And it’s kinda weird.
The thing that books don’t tell you, nor do your parents, or your friends or your boyfriends, lovers or future husbands, is that this is parenting. It’s illuminated by irony, random acts of kindness by strangers and an uncanny amount of moments worthy of cinematic entertainment like that of a Disney movie like say, Bambi.
It's no secret that parenting is a gift. A true gift. But it's also an adventure. Like the wild wild west. Filled with mountains of unseen dangerous terrain and also the most magnificent views you've ever laid eyes on. And every day that you navigate, you learn a new trade. Like survival tactics. And the actual size of your heart's capacity. A friend said to me recently she was thinking of getting pregnant. So I ordered another coffee and we started to talk. And here's what I came up with.
We have so much fun together. We’re like white on rice. Like sugar and spice. Basically twins. And best friends. But I’m also the parent. Lest not forget. And although she’s quite the mini me, we’ve got to have boundaries. And sometimes I hate that. But this is parenting. And so, boundaries.
