All in MOM STYLE

SUMMER UNI EDIT

Summer is here. And so is my uni. I like a good uni. Cut offs, tanks, a one piece, sandals, sneakers and tees. After I Marie Kondo-ed my closet, I have three pairs of shorts in my closet. Yep, three. Cutoffs are my uni because it’s hot and they are stylish, comfortable and mom appropriate. Like I said, I like a good uni. The less I have to think about it, the better. #Momlife. Lucky for us, there’s a few of my favorites on sale.. See below for my picks!

TO THE MOM WHO HASN'T MADE IT TO SPRING BREAK BLISS

It’s spring break. The stubborn sun is starting to show its beautiful face again. The flowers are blooming. The wind is a breezy cool, but subtle. The neighbors are at the lake house. The bestie is headed to London with her tribe. And your co-worker is paddle boarding in Miami with a margarita on the edge of her board. And you? Got a husband out of town, two toddlers with 103 fevers, double ear infections and zero family in town to help. Oh and school is out. And it’s spring break 2019.

WHEN THEY SAY YOU'LL MISS THESE DAYS

So, a while back I was out to dinner with a few friends to see a movie. I sat down next to a lovely friend who I don’t see often. She has 4 children. I was talking about how good my wine tasted and how exhausted I was from putting my crazy twin toddlers to bed before our 8 Pm dinner. I said, “they just turn away from me and run in opposite directions when I say get in the bath. Literally they are gone. One’s on sissy’s bunk bed about to fall off, and one is pooping in his underwear in the closet. It’s infuriating!” Little shits I uttered. She crinkled her nose and sweetly said, “y’all, I miss those days. I really really do. Those babies. So darn sweet.” Cue to yesterday’s early school pick up due to flooding in our area, and the twins hustling mama at full speed, a mom says to me, “I know you still have your hands so full, but I promise you, you will miss these days.”
