I know. But here's the thing. I'm Christmas-ing my way through the weekend by decorating the tree, lighting the fire and watching my twins break ornaments. And it's all the things. Joy is contagious and since my parents are here and my sister and her family are coming, I'm getting a head start on all things Christmas all the while it's Thanksgiving. Because someone once said if it makes you happy, then do it.
My Grandma was a widow. Lost her husband when she had 5 kids, one being a six month old. And on a week recently where I felt overwhelmed, I thought of her. And I thought, how. And also the woman I met at the grocery store yesterday. She said she had 3 kids who were getting big. Almost to high school. And I said “y’all must be so excited lol!” She smiled and said , “Well, I am. have a great day.” And she got my groceries in my cart and smiled, loving on my babies on the way out
How is your week going?
I don’t know about you, but does it seem like it’s Christmas in a couple weeks? Maybe it’s the weather change overnight or the fact that I’ve been excited about seeing the leaves fall and all of a sudden Christmas trees are up in every store across town. So I’m trying to get in the spirit and by trying I mean I’m browsing Christmas shopping by the minute and despite my negative (time is moving too fast lament), I’m actually getting a jumpstart on shopping today. Because sales.
