TO THE MOM WHO HASN'T MADE IT TO SPRING BREAK BLISS

It’s spring break. The stubborn sun is starting to show its beautiful face again. The flowers are blooming. The wind is a breezy cool, but subtle. The neighbors are at the lake house. The bestie is headed to London with her tribe. And your co-worker is paddle boarding in Miami with a margarita on the edge of her board. And you? Got a husband out of town, two toddlers with 103 fevers, double ear infections and zero family in town to help. Oh and school is out. And it’s spring break 2019.

HOW I TOLD MY MIGRAINES TO PISS OFF AND WHY THEY DISAPPEARED

When I lived in Italy and in Scotland, my migraines were not so prevalent. I was also in my late 20’s and not yet a mother, so stress was, if you will, not really stressful. Life was not stressful. The love part maybe, (but more on that later). It was different then. But living in Europe and the daily food consumption I had, might have had something to do with it my non headaches. WHY WE NEED TO BE ALONE

“To be young and in love in New York City.”

That’s the lyric I listened to repeatedly on my flight from California to Nashville a few months back.  Something about it got me.

The freedom in what was. Back then. And knowing that I could feel it. Taste it on my tongue. Because it was a moment in time. Side note: I must be on a travel kick inside my heart because last weeks wanderlust post. Or perhaps I’ve just been momming alot lately. Hence, see below.
