TOO EARLY FOR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING WITH NORDSTROM?
So, yes, it’s the BIG anniversary sale at Nordstrom and I’d be remiss if I didn’t post my favorites but before I do, I wanted to let you in on something I’ve been feeling recently and feeling hard.
We are currently in a cute little rental while we build a new house. It’s a third of the size of our previous house. The kids are great. We are great. Everything is fine. The house is more than fine.
And it got me thinking to how much we really need.
Quarantine and moving combined has really got me being the minimalist that I love being. But tenfold. The only reason I’m actually going to shop the Nordstrom sale is because (the sales are too good to miss), (I don’t ever like to pay full price), and (Christmas is basically around the corner).
But before I pulled together some great deals at Nordstrom, I have to say, my (quarantine) spending has been extremely low during this weird season, and living with a closet that’s an 1/8 the size of my previous closet, I’ve realized what I actually love to wear and what I really need and use.
So below I’ve got my picks for myself and they are basics that I can’t live without…ie, the leggings I live in, I need a new pair and a new color. The pajamas that I need because I wear the same ones almost every night. A few things for the kids and the husband and you’re basically set.
My mindset on spending and what we actually need have drastically changed. Of course I love shopping and fashion and skincare and all of it, but I’m only diving in when there’s a deal and something too good to miss. However for my birthday I might splurge on one thing for myself. We’ll see. You know me. :)

Again, the inventory is not as fun as for myself or my girl, but let’s be honest, men wear jeans and sneakers. At least mine does. Even in summer.
Ok, that’s it. That’s my Nordstrom wrap up. I’m only buying what I need...and again, why wait if the sale price is going away soon? Also, living in this rental is actually perfect. Makes me wanna buy it and just stay. We’ll see. Ok. Off to take my boys to the train tracks. Love you bye.
